Custom Painting/ Special Finishing
There are so many custom effects that can be used to make your residential or commercial property stand out. Eye catching effects and colors can make any space entirely unique and make a strong statement about you or your company. Paints have come a long way since the choice of matte or gloss and now you can choose from fantastic effects such as shimmering metallic paints that reflect light and color (without the harmful solvents they were once reputed to contain). Or you could try a touch of texture with options including sandstone paints or even a brushed suede paint. Or we can use conventional paints but unconventional patterns including bold stripes, subtle accent marks, or a harlequin pattern. We'll be happy to work with you to create a unique look for your property, inside or out.
Stencils are a fantastic way to create a unique effect ranging from lively stencils for kids (rocket ships, animals, and space systems are popular) or subtle stencil effects to add a distinctive touch to living spaces. We will talk to you about what kind of custom stencil will make the statement you are looking for then create them for you and paint with them to leave your walls decorated with absolutely whatever you want. Custom paint effects are popular not only with households looking to brighten up a home but also work and retail spaces aiming to make a statement about standing out from bland convention.
Sponging can be as simple as using a sponge loaded with paint and dabbing it on the wall to give a deliberately uneven textured effect that really brings out walls or accent spaces that you want to stand out. Lively and full of energy it can combine different colors to get spectacular effects that range from a moss or rust look to purely random splodges of brightness that really bring a space to life.
Color washing is a technique that achieves a sophisticated and subtle effect with different densities of color across a surface that can give a near liquid look. The trick is to start with a base layer of a light satin paint and then work over that with a large brush holding a color glaze. The resulting look has a lot more depth than a simple paint coating and can either be soft and subtle or bright and vibrant depending on the combination of colors that you choose. Color wash can be used to make entire rooms individual and quirky or they can be highly effective on accent walls or areas to bring out the tones of the rest of the space.
Rag rolling is where we use dedicated paint rollers wrapped in rag which when rolled over wet paint the result is a gorgeous textured look. We can use a variety of different types of rag roller to get different effects to suit your rooms and we will use hand rag techniques to get into the corners and hard to access niches where a roller will not be able to get in to finish the job.
